No seriously, I just give up.

Although reading some of the comments almost makes it worth the fact that this "book" exists.

Except not quite, because everything about this makes me want to cry.

[personal profile] adrenalin211 made the astute observation that just as everyone knows the story of how the entire HP series got started with Rowling writing on a napkin in a restaurant, everyone will know the story of how this POS got started as Twatlight fanfic. However, no napkins were harmed in the making of Rowling's production. LE SIGH.

Another musicgasm post. I cannot get over the insane squeeful delight this song brings me. The Chieftains AND The Civil Wars? YES PLEASE. I can't believe I have to wait until February to purchase this. Until then I will stream, and holy hell, are The Civil Wars on my MUST GO TO CONCERT list or what?

Today I started The Dovekeepers, and so far I am simultaneously horrified and yet again entranced by Alice Hoffman. This book is also making me want to go and read all my Hoffman faves over and over and over, just to swim in her language.

And for today's bonus, [livejournal.com profile] adrenalin211 wrote Jack/Renee fic that makes me SO HAPPY. Living in the moment, that is me.

JFC, I cannot get over this song. It will be a miracle if I don't stay up all night playing it on repeat on my new iPod.

Title and cut text are from Leonard Cohen's insanely beautiful "Anthem."

A question I'm asking myself today is: How the hell did I not know about the existence of this book? I freakin' adore Alice Hoffman. I am beyond stoked to read this over the holiday work break. What are you guys reading? Also, if anybody would like to point me in the direction of kid-friendly (translation: really easy) cookie recipes, that would be rad.
