Things I loved about the first one: violent mint, crying in baseball, cocky confidence, watchamacallits, The Backstreet Boys and the banter that goes back and forth, him teasing her about Bruce the soundtrack composer (where do you come up with this?), "Also, bite me.", that he brings her popcorn and he stops clicking his pen.
Things I loved about the second one: Heat shimmering off the sidewalk in translucent waves, zero to Mach 2, sarcastic imaginary quotes, that she makes him regain control of the situation, work less and get laid more, or vibrator!!!fun, choose your own adventure and how AWESOME that analogy was, including the perfect wording, the way you bring the pen-chewing back, that he surprises her by jumping at the dinner invitation, that they're SO S6 THEM!!
Things I loved about the third one: That he's bringing Kathy soda and knows she probably wasn't reading the People magazine she has, "stale coffee the permeates the hospital waiting room", the way there's just a dejected quality to him (worried but sorta eh about life in general), that she's genuinely concerned and telling him about standard procedures, He wonders when the hell that happened, when they all accepted this for what it is. GAH I loved that, the detail about Maureen and how he hasn't talked to her, that he's gonna wait until they let him see Olivia, "gesture of habit so ingrained it's meaningless OMG CAN I MARRY THAT LINE?, thinking about citrus and first!time sex and how he's so glad he didn't know...then...
Things I loved overall: The way you so perfectly depicted the the rise and fall of their relationship, your incredible details that make it all so real, the way you catch them in their younger years, not so jaded by life and the job and each other and have them bantering, then the angry!Elliot that happened somewhere in the middle, then the last section which is so damn resigned it's heartbreaking.
So yeah. Great job with this. You never cease to impress the fuck out of me.
