Oh show. Why can't I quit you?

So I rewatched 24 7x01 last night. I had about 436782967893462896457289 feelings, most of which I won't bore anyone with. But it WAS so funny, after a long time of watching only bits and pieces of S8 (if anything), to see Renee all innocent and strutty, back before she knew she'd been repeatedly beat up and almost raped by a Russian freakshow;) It was so much fun that I got motivated to go and hunt up Kay's insanely amazing screencap recap.

And I laughed my ass off again:)

More tonight, hopefully. SHOW, WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN GOOD?

And then I realized that while I've asked you guys who watched 24 about your favorite season, I don't think I've ever asked about your favorite episode. And now I'm curious. If you had to pick one ep, which one would it be? Why?

eta: Also, cool link to article about Touch. I'm pretty excited to have Kiefer back on my TV. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sparkles_mouse for the link.

Oh, and my favorite episode? Yikes? 7x24 I think.

I also love 6x01 even though it's so painful I can't watch it. That was the ep that made me love Bill with a deep love.

7x24 huh? Because it kinda has everything or because it's Jack in a coma? :P

Augh 6x01. I've only seen it once.

I honestly am so conflicted about what my fav ep. I think it depends on favorite for what purpose. LOL.

Both of the above. And it has gender role reversal. Jack finally got his own knight riding in on her helicopter.

*Preaches to choir*

I am a giant choir. But chyeah, the helicopter badassery of love is amazing:) And Gohar at the end! I watched that a couple weeks ago and cried, because I am exactly that dorky.

Jack was also rescued by helicopter at the end of Day 2 by an Anonymous Sniper Guy. Somehow this was better. I wonder if Renee could fly a chopper. She totally could in my mind.

Oh Gohar. I loved that scene. I loved how Gohar didn't invoke any particular god, forgiveness comes from each other and from within.

*sigh*

I forgot about that! My knowledge of the early seasons is so lacking. But now that you remind me . . .

Yeah, I adored Gohar. He was so cute, not only at the end, but in those scenes in the SVU where Jack was all falling apart from the biotoxin and Gohar was still cool and not angry with him. Adorable.

Why do I not have a Gohar icon?

[identity profile] marinw.livejournal.com 2012-01-08 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
At one point I was tempted to write a fic from Gohar's point of view but my knowledge of Islam is so limited I would make an ass of myself.

Homeland had a very Gphar-like Imam in one episode.

I totally need to go make an icon. And one of the epic Larry facepalm in 7x02.

I love your Carrie icon there. Her face is too funny.

Wait what? I thought you couldn't stand Clair Danes.

As long as we are on the Gohar Love, what I loved about that scene is that it shows Jack isn't that theologically picky, he called on the spiritual person who was handy at the time. A kindly Rabbi or Priest would have worked too. As long on the priest wasn't John Hurt. Bwahaha.

All this Day 7 nostalgia is convenience me that Day 8 was a coma dream. Jack will wake up from his real-time nightmare and more Jack/Renee awesomeness will ensue, aided by the still-awesome President Taylor.

I love Denial Land! Why don't I move there?

I can't stand Claire Danes. But her face there is hilarious.

I was loving John Hurt in my rewatch of Deathly Hallows Part Two. He's so cute!

I live in my own alternate version of denial land, and it's a very happy place. The movie is a go, however, so soon we'll see just how much more they can make Jack's life suck! Hee.

Ack. The movie. Chloe is toast. TOAST, I tell you. With butter and jam and Nutella.

I can't imagine them killing Chloe. Or Kim or Teri. But they're the only people left, because there is no way they can make a new character important enough to have that kind of audience impact. So I guess we'll see! I am so not even thinking about seeing the film until about ten people I trust have seen it. And maybe not even then, LOL.

I meant "convincing" not "convenience". My dyslexia, let me show it to you.

I knew what you meant! No worries. I love Jean-Luc facepalming.
