Pick a character or pairing from 24 (sorry to be so specific, but it's where my brain is right now), give me some a song lyric, and I will attempt at least 100 words of fic for you.

I know. I didn't write any of them last time. So I understand if you're all just like, PFT. However, my brain is in this mood where it just can't settle down, and I'd really like to find out if I'm capable of writing anything that doesn't turn into a thousand words minimum. I'm teaching all week, so I can mess with these at work, too:)

I think I'll cap it at 12 though, because even that's probably ambitious, given my recent success with prompts.

I decided that since icon making seems to be my hobby for the moment (when I'm too brain dead to write fic), I'd stick these up here on the off chance that anybody wants to steal them. I figure I'm at least safe in saying that I've created the most Jack/Renee icons of anyone ever. All of which is to say that these are ALL of Kiefer, Annie, Jack, and/or Renee. A substantial number are from 8x17. Haters to the left, dude.

It's Tuesday! And I feel . . . fine. It's strange, waking up Tuesday morning like any other day. No brain bleed. No wonderful flail. No glorious shipper squee. Just Tuesday. The downside is that I miss all the flail like woah. The upside is that the flail was gone anyway, and holy shit I feel a lot better this Tuesday than I did two weeks ago. So yay for that:)

So. It took me until yesterday morning to even start sorting out the unbelievable clusterfuck that is my brain on 24 at the moment. And I said 'start.' I can't fathom how long it might take before I'm able to wrap my brain around most of it. I actually thought I'd be okay with staying in LJ hiding for some time, until I realized I have apparently unlimited things to say on one aspect of Monday's show.

However, since childhood I have been incapable of discussing subjects that bother me to the core without becoming pretty much an articulate psychopath. My style of argument is 'take no prisoners' to the degree that unless it's family, I usually walk away and try to calm down because I know it's not fair to unleash that kind of vitriol on most people.

Which brings me to (8x06 spoilers under the cut) reason #4382906438106902 why Kay is awesome, and also one of the smartest people with whom I've ever communicated.

If anyone wishes to know my feelings on Monday's 24, read Kay's post. She says exactly what I think, but she comes at it from a standpoint of unadulterated logic, rather than emotion, and that's something I'm not capable of doing yet, if ever. Cheers to that.

eta: I'm entirely snickering, because apparently Monday's ep left even the TWOP recap dude squidging. Heeeeeeeee.
