I thought I should include an entry to indicate that most of the stuff in my journal is friends-locked and explain a little bit about that. Fic and some fannish stuff is the exception. A couple thoughts on why you may or may not want to friend me:

Things I love:

Kiefer Sutherland and almost everything about 24 until the end of 8x17;)

Books, words, and ideas
Writing fanfic
Irony and sarcasm
Laughing at idiocy
Intelligent, respectful debate
Learning about anything and everything I'll never have the opportunity to experience myself
Profanity

Things I hate:
Actual embodied evil from below the lowest rung of hell, Donald Trump
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and everyone like them. No, seriously. If you fangirl Ann Coulter, we are probably not a good LJ matchup.
The NRA
Republicans who want to sink Obama's legislation just to watch him fail
Intolerance
Nationalism
Fundamentalism
Materialism

I may edit this as I think of others. If you want to friend me, comment on this entry and it's likely that I'll friend you back. I do like to know something about the people on my friends list, so give me a hint as to what you think we have in common:)

I didn't read this post of yours entirely before I decided to friend you. So fail on me if you got my friend request thingy and was like "wtf...who is this person?" Lol, anyway.

What we might have in common? Aside from the fact that I think you're an effin brilliant writer, I love all things 24, too. And writing fanfic. And books and words. Such a lovely world of shiny, creative words and stories out there. Also, the Jack & Renee love/obsession thing? I feel ya there, for sure. They are constantly bouncing around in my head all day, those two. Love, love, love.

Intolerance might just be my biggest pet peeve. And though I consider myself a moderate...I lean more towards the right, but I'm enirely capable of respectful, intelligent debates.

I think you're the bomb. Really, I do. Several of my 2:30 AM reviews on your fics probably prove that. And I think we could be livejournal buds. I don't really post on mine...I just use it to comment on a couple communities that I watch, and of course, your fics. But yeah.

Sorry for just writing a novel. :)

Oh no fail! I put this post up here because I do like to know something about people before I friend them, so thanks for responding.

Augh Jack and Renee obsession! Right now I wish I could turn mine down a notch, given that she's dead and I'm depressed and I hate it like Satan. Bleh. They talk in my head though, which is apparently why I now write AU. Weird, that.

Yes, I loathe intolerance, even though I am sometimes guilty of it. As you can see from this post, I definitely do not lean toward the right, but I'm sure if we stay off politics we'll be fine.

And I LOVE your 2:30 a.m. reviews. They make me all smiley in the morning -- thank you so much for them.

Oh for sure, no politics discussions for us, hehe. :) Just lots of flailing over the awesome that is Jack & Renee.

No lie, I'm somewhat glad they talk in your head though; it's awful to be depressed over her death...that I understand, but if anything, you come up with excellent fics because of it.

I'll be sure to keep up with the early morning reviews. It's the least I can do when you give us such beautifully written fiction!
